Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need hormone therapy?+
Symptoms like fatigue, low libido, weight gain, brain fog, and mood changes can indicate hormonal imbalance, but the only way to know for sure is bloodwork. We require a full hormone panel before considering any treatment.
Is TRT only for older men?+
No. While testosterone naturally declines with age, many men in their 30s and 40s have suboptimal levels due to stress, poor sleep, environmental factors, and metabolic issues. If your labs show low testosterone and you have symptoms, age isn't the determining factor.
What about fertility?+
Exogenous testosterone can suppress sperm production. If fertility is a concern, we may recommend alternatives like enclomiphene or HCG that can raise testosterone while preserving fertility. This is something your physician will discuss.
Are bioidentical hormones the same as synthetic?+
Bioidentical hormones are structurally identical to the hormones your body produces naturally. They're derived from plant sources and compounded to match your body's chemistry, unlike synthetic hormones which have a different molecular structure.
How often do I need follow-up labs?+
Typically every 60-90 days during the first year, then every 6 months once stable. Your physician will adjust this based on your individual response.
